YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS PROJECT
This is a formation and community development project through trainings and workshops. The development of some of these activities generates a form of income for the youth.

Who are these youth?
These youth are young entrepreneurs who are searching for more opportunites with the desire to overcome and to help their families get ahead. In spite of the difficulties and challenges, they don´t give up, but instead search for solutinons. These young people have the following characteristics:

Haven´t had professional training or work

Have to work to support the family

From a family with scarce resources

Have an average of 5 to 7 siblings

From a rural area

It´s a challenge to work with adolescents and young adults, but it´s important to reclaim and reiterate the importance of good morals, principles and how to exist with other people in addition to being environmental stewards. It´s also important to highlight and provide education over political, social, and cultural themes as well as planning for the future. The Young Entrepreneurs project tries to develop these components to form young leaders and agents of the change in their communities, within ways that also promote family and community development.
Project components: environmental education, ANADESA in my youth, sewing workshops, recreation and sports, cooking workshops, understanding morals and principles, and health and hygiene training.

Why is it important to promote education and participation in youth?
Because education is the only way to integrally develop a person to have better opportunities for the self, for families, and for a better society.

General objective of the project
To provide entrepreneurial formation to adolescents and young adults in the communities of Panabaj and Tzanchaj through citizen formation, environmental education, and entrepreneurial trainings and workshops to address the demands of current society and environmental conservation.
Specific objectives

That each young person has the knowledge that will allow them to function in society and exercise their rights.

Help each young person identify and strengthen their own unique talents and abilities.

Develop and encourage good self esteem in each indivivdual.
Trainings, workshops, and practices are developed that contribute to the care and conservation of the environment such as reforestation, trash clean up, public awareness, recycling, waste management, etc.

These trainings teach youth how to maintain good health and gives them knowledge of things that harm the health of a person in one way or another.
